Stauning 2012/2014

A very pale, golden colour. At first, the signature Stauning peat smell. After a minute, a faint sulfuric smell. This whisky burns a bit in the nose. Later come notes of dry wood (think an old pub with wooden furniture). A nice, rounded peat smoke taste going in the direction of charred wood. Some sulfuric, salty notes come up. Salt liquorice as well. Short, earthy finish. Some bitter, charred wood as well.
