Beskrivelse: The Pearse Lyons 12 year old is a really well made Irish whiskey. This whiskey mainly offers only one category of aroma, but it does so properly: the fruity notes are really nice. Nose: Wonderfully Irish fruity. The fruit aroma is something very special. Pears, apples and tangerines stand out. And especially peaches. Sweet fruits float in the nose. But green apples are also beckoning. The whiskey is not particularly complex, but the fruit aroma is wonderful, accompanied by caramel. I also have a kind of gummy bear in my nose, very tasty. The sweetness is enhanced with vanilla. There are also light woody notes. A hint of anise is hidden in the background with a fresh herbal mixture. Taste: The first thing that comes to mind is orange peel. This is followed by a herbal note with the sweetness of honey. The whiskey gets a little stronger. Ginger announces a little spiciness, but it doesn't happen. No trace of metallic youth. The slightly bitter background remains until the end. Finish: The whiskey creates a warm moment. The orange peels become oranges, which bring a little sweetness. The bright fruits come together again to say goodbye together. A portion of wood follows and the orange peels come back.
