History

Old Humble Distilling Company was founded with one mission: to make the best damn whiskey, period. They break a few rules, dive a little deeper, and give their own angle on how whiskey can taste – while nodding to the past. The distillery and tasting room are now open to the public in Humble, Texas, and the owner is named Joseph Breda. Their story ties Humble to the former oil industry and to personal roots in the area, which also inspire their craft and respect for the locale.

Production / Manufacturing

Old Humble focuses on small-batch, artisanal production and a clear emphasis on character in their whiskey. Each series highlights different grain percentages and aging principles: - Boomtown Bourbon: a traditional tri-grain bourbon with a heavier share of corn, aged in barrels as small as 5 gallons to add complexity and depth. 90 proof. Enjoy neat or on the rocks and pairs well with friends, stories, and cigars. - Special Reserve: a Straight Whiskey with longer aging, deep, dark color and a smoky note with a warm finish. 90 proof. - Old Humble Straight Whiskey: a whiskey with 90% corn and 10% barley, aged five years in bourbon barrels, handmade and bottled in Humble, Texas. 90 proof. - Old Humble Double Oak Straight Rye Whiskey: rye whiskey with 95% rye, aged at least two years and finished with extra oak staves for deeper flavor, darker color, and a balanced, powerful profile. 90 proof.

These products illustrate an approach where grains, aging and finish work together to create characteristic Texas whiskies. The production also notes that their whiskeys are available in Texas through local retailers.
