History
The Nishinomiya Distillery was located in Hyogo and was part of Nikka. According to information on the Nishinomiya page, whiskey production at Nishinomiya ended in 1999 when the Coffey stills were moved to Miyagikyo. The facility has since been used for beer production (Asahi owns Nikka). Nishinomiya was primarily a grain whiskey producer and contributed to the blends among Nikka's best-sellers such as From The Barrel. The remaining information in the content suggests a number of single-cask releases of Coffey Grain and Coffey Malt in the years leading up to the closure, with variations of malt and grain as well as different age statements and ABV figures.
Production / Manufacturing
According to the text, the Coffey stills were moved in 1999, indicating the cessation of whisky production at the Nishinomiya distillery, and the site has since been used for beer production (Asahi). The available history shows that Nishinomiya produced grain- and malt-whiskies primarily for Nikka blends and for special editions/bartender-oriented single-cask bottlings, including Coffey Grain and Coffey Malt in various age statements and alcohol strengths.
