History

Legacy Distillery is a Polish craft distillery that markets a range of spirits and references to collaborations with Polish football clubs. Under the heading Let your imagination run wild..., Single Cask Whisky Lech Poznań – Collector's Edition is presented along with several official whiskies such as KS Cracovia and Lech Poznań. The distillery also plans to revitalize the old distillery in Wełna, Wielkopolska into a production facility where copper pot stills will be at the heart, and water from nearby springs will be used. Project start expected in early 2024.

Production / Manufacturing

Legacy Distillery produces products in a craft-oriented style: copper pot stills, 100% natural ingredients in gin, and distillation processes that revolve around quality craftsmanship. Their pure rye spirits are used for Żytnia Vodka and various vodka variants (with honey, cranberry, quince). Barley Malt Vodka is produced as a combination of rye spirit and barley distillate, filtered through activated charcoal and water from their own source. Polskie Dry Gin (and Red Orange version) is produced in small copper stills with juniper (jałowiec), herbs, citrus, and floral components.

Philosophy

Legacy Distillery highlights a craft-focused approach. Under the name aLKOHOLE RZEMIEŚLNICZE, visitors are encouraged to let their imagination run wild. The products are produced with natural ingredients and an appreciation for classic Polish distilling art. Nalewki (honey liqueurs) and other products are produced with natural ingredients and a subtly sweet honey flavor rather than sugar. Żytnia Vodka with Honey is described as 100% natural and without added sugar, and Barley Malt Vodka describes a combination of the highest quality rye-spirit and barley-distillate as well as water from their own springs.
