History

Mättrügin Bühl is a small, family-owned company in the Bernese Jura. Founded in 1920, it is now in its fourth generation. The owner, Oliver Mättrü, continues his great-grandfather's motto: they do everything to produce the finest schnapps. For him, the most important ingredients are his many years of experience and love for the products. The result is high quality, carefully crafted fruit brandies, bitters, liqueurs, and absinthe.

1920: Established.

1985: Elsbeth and Christian Matter-Luginbühl take over the distillery.

1996: Moved from Aarberg to Kallnach.

2005: The company was handed over to his son Oliver Matter.

There is also mention of Whisky: Whisky No. 3 (Blended), Whisky No. 4 (Corn), Whisky No. 8 (Rye), Whisky No. 7 (Blended 61/39), Whisky No. 9 (Rye Cask Strength). Old River Whisky Classic Swiss Barrique Cask, Old River Whisky Premium, Old River Whisky Superior, Old River Whisky Liqueur.

Production
