Historie

Mandlberggut is a family-owned distillery and Hofladen located in Radstadt in Salzburg, in the heart of the Schladming-Dachstein region. For generations the place has been run by the family—for hikers, nature lovers and explorers. The distillery sits in a mountain setting, uniting craftsmanship, hospitality and a love of nature: in the house-owned distillery noble drops are produced, and during guided tours you can look over the shoulder and see the production behind the scenes. The Berg Café offers homemade specialties, and natural cosmetics as well as other products can be ordered online in their webshop.

Produktion / Fremstilling

In the house-owned distillery Mandlberggut produces with patience and sensitivity noble spirits, made from local ingredients. Aromatic gin, full-bodied whisky, traditional elixirs and fruit distillates are mentioned, each sip telling of the region and the craft. The production also includes natural cosmetics and other products made with regional raw materials such as latschenkiefer and zirbe.

Produkter / Whisky-serien

Mainly whisky is highlighted alongside noble brandies, gin and liqueurs. In particular Dachstein Whisky is described as an eight-year-old whisky that has matured at an altitude of 2,760 meters, and described as a limited edition in their range. In addition to whisky, a number of liqueurs (e.g. Zwetschkenbrand-Cuvee, Haselnussgeist, Himbeerbrand, and others) and other distillates are mentioned. There is emphasis that every sip reflects the region's nature and craftsmanship.

Besøg / Oplevelser

Visitors can take part in guided tours through the distillery with tasting opportunities. In addition, the Berg Café offers homemade specialties and can provide noble brandies, whiskies, gins and liqueurs for tasting – and these can also be purchased in the Hofladen next door.

The products are produced with a focus on natural and regional ingredients and an understanding of rules and origin, which is expressed in their range of distillates and natural care products.
