Vision

OCD's obsession is to create a locally distilled premium spirits brand in Sydney that is locally and globally relevant, and that sits among the world's best and like-minded spirit producers.

Provenance

OCD uses only premium ingredients from suppliers with provenance. Barley malted in Riverina, NSW. All barrels are sourced locally or globally and are ethically sourced. All OCD spirits are bottled in bond.

Innovation

Traditional distillation processes are combined with modern techniques, handcrafted in small batches, with a focus on refining and developing. OCD recycles and reuses wherever possible. All spirits can be enjoyed neat, in cocktails, or as a cocktail.

Production and Raw Materials

Sourcing and Raw Materials

Through a grain-to-glass approach, OCD uses barley grown and malted in Riverina, NSW. Barrels can be locally or globally sourced to impart character and complexity. Emphasizes sustainable methods and environmental considerations throughout the production process.

Distillery and Experience

The distillery is located in Lilyfield, Sydney, with Bar 26 as an onsite bar, where you can enjoy a gin cocktail, a whiskey tasting, and a vodka martini. The experience centers around a 'grain to glass' philosophy and control of each production phase.

Products

OCD produces Whisky, Gin and Vodka. Whisky includes OCD Whisky and a range of limited edition barrel releases with barrels such as New French Oak, Pinot, Shiraz and PX. The gin offering includes Mary St Gin (Sydney Dry), Mary St Shiraz Gin, as well as Citrus Gin, Sydney Dry Gin, and gin liqueurs. The vodka range includes Pure Vodka, Gold Leaf Vodka (24 karat gold), Lemon Drop Vodka, Coffee Vodka, and Cocoa Vodka, as well as accompanying cocktails and kits.

Whisky Series

OCD Whisky is a single malt, single cask production; each expression is built around small-batch mashes and longer fermentations, with a blend of traditional and modern methods. All OCD Whisky is bottled in bond. The releases include barrel numbers such as 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 (New French Oak), 18 Uncut, 30 PX, 33 Shiraz and 20 Ex Bourbon, as well as other Limited Edition variants. ABVs typically range around 49–57%, and many releases are offered in limited bottle counts per cask. Barrel 4 was bottled unfiltered, and all bottles are bottled in bond.

Gin, Vodka and Liqueurs

Mary St Gin is OCD's signature dry gin with pronounced juniper and botanical notes. Mary St Citrus Gin brings citrus notes, and Mary St Shiraz Gin reflects Shiraz berries. OCD also produces gin liqueurs such as Raspberry Gin Liqueur and Coffee Gin Liqueur. The vodka range includes Pure Vodka, Gold Leaf Vodka (24 karat gold), Lemon Drop Vodka, Coffee Vodka, and Cocoa Vodka. There are also Espresso Martini Kits and Bloody Mary Kits.

Experiences and Visits

Otter Craft Distilling is located in Lilyfield and offers Bar 26, where you can enjoy a gin cocktail, a whiskey flight, and a vodka martini. Distillery Open Day & Xmas BBQ are activity events that include tours, tastings, and food.

Philosophy

OCD fuses respect for tradition and innovation, focuses on local origin and provenance, sustainability and reuse/recycling, and emphasizes that all products are bottled in bond. An inclusive approach to gin and spirits without prejudice is emphasized, and to appeal to both beginners and connoisseurs.
