Historie
Lingone is a brewery and distillery located at the gates of Pays de Langres in Haute-Mosse (Haute-Marne). They describe themselves as heirs to a centuries-old brewing tradition and aim to offer a sensory experience of the best that nature has to offer in the area. The company emphasizes working with local, organic raw materials and pursues an environmentally and people-friendly approach across the entire supply chain. The brewery sources its spring water from Madeleine and focuses on traditions combined with innovation to preserve the region's sustainable land and culture. Lingone also highlights their approach to biology and environmentally friendly production methods as well as support for local farmers and short supply chains.
Produktion / Fremstilling
The production philosophy rests on a simple recipe: barley, wheat, and hops, together with organic growers and suppliers. Emphasis is placed on clean, pure water from their region and a constant search for harmony between age-old traditions and innovations to achieve unique flavor experiences. Their beverage range includes beers such as Korax (pale IPA), Fouzian (amber), Torka (blond triple), Kerva (light blond), Arthа (amber-inspired beer) as well as a line of spirits based on beer distillation (Draska) and Sabinus, a noble spirit aged in oak casks. Notably Draska (Eau-de-Vie de Bière) as a beer-distilled spirit, and the Sabinus series as a spirit based on malted barley, aged in oak. Lingone also describes their approach to using a Stupfler-alambic in the distillation process and the possibility of slow reduction of the alcohol content to preserve aroma and mouthfeel. They plan future whisky projects based on locally malted barley, and have shared malting processes through partnerships such as La Malterie de Bourgogne in Dijon.
Produkter / Whisky-serien
Lingone has launched its first Whisky Lingone Single Malt – Expression Classique. According to their online communications, a final selection of chosen casks was made and the blend was reduced to 43% ABV to achieve a balance between aroma and mouthfeel. About 1,800 bottles of 70 cl were produced, with packaging and a minimalist label. They also note that the initial batches of the whisky may have been bottled and launched at a series of events and trade fairs in 2025. Lingone mentions that malting will take place in collaboration with La Malterie de Bourgogne, and that their raw materials are locally grown and organic, with a focus on short supply chains and slow maturation in oak casks. In addition to the whisky, Lingone produces a range of beers and a range of spirits (Draska and Sabinus), and they continuously communicate about their launch plans and events around the whisky, including events and pre-orders.
Besøg & Oplevelser
Lingone offers tours of their brewery/distillery and events throughout the year (open events and private arrangements). They mention Bar Lingone and shop options in Langres and Montsaugeon as well as the possibility to order products in their shop and at events such as Foire Gastronomique de Langres. They also host theme evenings and guided tours with tastings of beer and spirits; they highlight the opportunity to experience production from raw materials to finished product. Their events also include bio-events (Printemps Bio) and collaboration with local producers in the area. In the long term they describe an ambition to offer unique, environmentally friendly products and to share the experience of their territory with guests.
