Historie

Distillerie La Salamandre in Sarlat-la-Canéda began as an itinerant bouilleur de cru, traveling around with its copper distillation equipment. According to the site, the story began with Raymond Gatinel; today his son Jacques Gatinel runs the distillery in Les Tissandries, 4 km from Sarlat. The focus is on the quality of the fruits and on being able to share the fantastic products with customers, and the family guards secret production secrets in their production methods.
