Historie

Distillerie La Mine d’Or in Brittany was founded in 2016 by Stéphane KERDODÉ. First, gin SEIZH was launched, followed by a range of craft spirits under the SPEAKEASY label, and in the summer of 2022 Galaad whisky was launched — a true French single malt, distilled, aged and blended in Brittany at La Mine d’Or.

The distillery is a craft, family-owned operation that offers high-quality spirits and adheres to strict traditional production standards. It is equipped with a brand-new production facility that blends traditional equipment with the latest technology, drawing on the expertise of master distillers and partners to create premium spirits.

Galaad is described as a 100% French whisky, distilled, aged and blended in Brittany. It comes from the Distillerie La Mine d’Or at Domaine de Ronsouze in Ploërmel, near the legendary Brocéliande forest.

Situated between land and sea, at the edge of the Brocéliande forest, Brittany is a world of expression. The craft distillers at La Mine d’Or carry on the older distillation tradition inspired by nature’s forces. A visit to Domaine de Ronsouze in Ploërmel near Brocéliande is part of the experience.
