History

Distillerie des Achards is a distillery based in La Mothe-Achards, Vendée. The project began as a friendship, and their passion for spirits has since driven them to fuse tradition and innovation in their production. In January 2020 they began a learning journey in Scotland to master the art of distillation. On May 7, 2020 they were granted permission to install their Müller alambic, and a few months later their first spirit saw the light of day: Gin distillé Bulkeley.

Production / Manufacturing

Their production focuses on craftsmanship and local engagement. They place emphasis on the environment and sustainability and have a bio-commitment, having optimized their production chain to reduce their CO2 footprint and following principles of organic farming. The ingredients respect seasonality, and every step, from maceration of plants to waste management, is carefully considered in a responsible pursuit of expertise.

Products / Whisky Series

The range includes two whiskeys: Whisky Nicartrie Pedro Ximenez and Whisky Nicartrie Islay. Both products are shown on the website and in the shop, but availability can vary, and the products may be sold out at times.
