Steinhart Distillery is built on a rich Steinhart family tradition of craft distilling, spanning over 300 years in the making. Thomas Steinhart remembers his upbringing in rural Germany, where he spent many hours with his grandfather and helped light the wood-fired distillation apparatus. The family sold the farm, but the passion for using natural ingredients to create superb spirits remained. Thomas decided to settle on his farm in Antigonish, NS, and revive the family's heritage by launching Steinhart Distillery.
