Historie

Rocky Mountain Big Horn Distillery is a small, family-owned craft distillery located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Edson, Alberta. We are anchored in traditional principles and a passion for creating spirits and liqueurs from the finest Alberta grains and water. We produce ultra-premium spirits from locally grown organic grains from local farmers and water from Alberta. Not a drop leaves the distillery until it is completely perfect – "Not a drop leaves before it's perfect!" We strive to build a sustainable legacy for future generations – one bottle at a time.

Produktion/Fremstilling

We use premium ingredients and handcraft our products in small batches with organic grains from local farmers and water from Alberta. The motto 'from our home to yours' reflects our approach to production and our business concept. We place emphasis on producing high-quality spirits and creating a sustainable narrative around our products.

Produkter/Whisky-serien

• Full Curl Canadian Whisky: a smoky, smooth and well-aged Canadian whisky with notes of cherry, vanilla and carefully selected spices. The producer describes it as Canadian whisky, available in 375 ml and 750 ml.
• Corn Shine: a fresh, gluten-free take on traditional whiskey – 'it's your time to shine.' Described as a whisky with a gluten-free variant and marketed as part of our Spirit Series. Corn Shine won Best in Class at the Alberta Beverage Awards in 2020.
• Additionally, other products are produced such as Alpine Cream, Midnight Mocha, Amaretto Skies, Back Country Apple Pie, and more, but they do not belong to the whisky series.

Besøg/Oplevelser

Site tours are available by appointment. Tastings take place in our Tasting Room, and the lounge is open in the summer months. Hours: Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 16:00. The summer period (June 1 to August 31) Saturdays from 13:00 to 17:00. Private and semi-private events are offered year-round.
