Zeitzer Whisky Manufaktur is a small, owner-operated distillery in Zeitz in the southern part of Saxony-Anhalt. The company is run by Daniel Rost and welcomes visitors with the message of passion and craftsmanship in the production of high-quality German whisky, peat-filtered vodka, mild gin and aromatic liqueurs. Each bottle bears the mark of craftsmanship, tradition and love of detail, with an emphasis on regional craftsmanship and the story behind the distillate. Production / Manufacturing

A sustainable and artisanal approach characterizes Zeitzer Whisky Manufaktur. The production is characterized by small-scale, artisanal methods rather than mass production: no machines or conveyor belts, but genuine craftsmanship directly from Zeitzer Whisky Manufaktur. Whisky is produced as high-quality German whisky from fresh, carefully selected malts, and the products also include peat-filtered vodka, mild gin and aromatic liqueurs. The production also highlights the possibility for customers to obtain their own personal cask finish by filling their own cask, which points to a bespoke distillery finish. For deliveries, appropriate shipping via DPD is offered, with the option of free pickup in Zeitz, and environmentally conscious packaging using recycled shipping materials where possible.

Products / Whisky Series

Zeitzer Whisky Manufaktur has a range of whisky products and current releases that combine malt- and grain-based distillates with different finishes: - Saale-Unstrut Whisky 0,5L: 40% vol. Described as a Blended Single Malt Whisky, aged in up to ten selected wine casks from the region, giving depth and complexity with fruity, nutty and vanilla-like tones. - Whisky Batch #26 Gin Cask Finish: 0,35L, 40,1% vol. Shows a malt whisky, first aged in bourbon casks and finished in a gin-cask (Burgenländer Dry Gin Cask Finish). - Whisky Batch #30 Triple Rum: 0,35L, 40% vol. An eight-year-old whisky aged in three different rum casks (Jamaican, Belizean and Martinique rum), giving tropical fruit notes and warm spice. - Whisky Batch #31 Ex-Bowmore Sherry Cask: 0,35L, 40% vol. Malt-based whisky, matured in an ex Bowmore Sherry cask, which adds fruity sweetness and a hint of smoke. - Whisky Batch #32 Peaty Grain Whisky: 0,35L, 40% vol. A grain whisky (barley and rye) with 25% malted barley, aged in German oak casks from Dresden; character of malt, spice and light peat/smoke. - Additional entries in the lineup include Bacchus Cask, Jurancon Barrique, Tawny Port Cask, Marsala Peaty, Marsala Cask, Madeira Peaty, PX Sherry Cask, Dornfelder Barrique, Bourbon & Rum, and other current releases, all available in smaller formats (typically 350 ml).
