History
Most likely since the end of the 16th century, the site where Thuisbrunner Elch-Bräu now stands has housed an inn with a brewery, a malt mill, a distillery, and a bakery. In 1792, Chancellery Inspector Gottfried Köppel, in his enumeration for the Prussian king, described the excellent beer that Thuisbrunner brewed. In 2002, Georg Kugler took over this historic home and reactivated Thuisbrunner Elch-Bräu and the brewing tradition in 2007. With great passion, the brewmaster, the malt master, and the beer sommelier create high-quality Franconian beer specialties. Several times his beers have won prizes at the European Beer Star Award.
Production
The historic site has previously been home to a brewery, malt house, distillery, and bakery. Today, high-quality Franconian beer specialties are produced by a dedicated team led by the brewmaster, malt master and beer sommelier.
