History

Spessarthof is a family-owned business in the forested Spessart, which is our home and inspiration. The landscape and culture here drive our passion for products, craftsmanship and high quality. We produce by hand and focus on consistency and development in our range.

Production

The distillery has been distilling since the summer of 2015 in a Schaubrennerei supplied by Arnold Holstein, a leading producer of distillation equipment. We produce gin, whisky, cigar-brandies, distillates and liqueurs.

Products / Whisky series

Whisky forms part of our range, and one of our whisky products is Dark Oak Single Malt Whisky.

Visits and experiences

The farm shop in Aura is open: Friday 08:00 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 18:00; Saturday 08:00 – 13:00; holidays closed. Contact information and other details are available on the page.

Philosophy

We run Spessarthof as a family-owned business with a particular focus on perseverance and progress – for only together does it ensure lasting high quality. The unique location and nature of Spessart in the heart of Germany are our inspiration. The range spans from noble spirits to refined regional noodles and meat from selected breeds, always regional and delicious.
