History
Origin and Vision
It started as a wager in 1994: Florian Stetter, a trained brewer and master distiller, traveled to Scotland and was inspired by the similarities between Scotland and Bavaria—the mountains, clear water, and clean air. He believed that first-class whisky could be distilled in Bavaria and won the bet. Shortly thereafter, he began distilling whisky at his parents' distillery by Lake Schliersee.
