Historie
- Hopfengarten Bamberg is a family-owned garden and craft brewery in Bamberg, which recently revived hop cultivation in the town and turns plants into beer, spirits and other products. According to the site, it is described as the first garden in Bamberg that about 100 years ago replanted hops and developed unique products from its own hop cultivation and plants. The family rests on around 450 years of tradition and culture, combined with modern influences and sustainability.
- A summer project in 2021 was the opening of Tap House in Bamberg, where local and seasonal products from Hopfengarten are served – from beer and brandy to lemonades and spirits, all regional and fresh from the garden and the hop plant.
- The business area includes a small brewery in a former flower shop and a wide range of events, courses and tastings, which give insight into the whole process – from garden to glass.
Produktion / Fremstilling
- Hopfengarten Bamberg is described as the little brewery of the world city, where beer is brewed on a small scale and handcrafted from the harvest of hops and malt to bottling; deeply rooted in their own garden and nursery. Hops and other plants are treated from cultivation to processing in small batches, and in selected products the cones, the hops and botanicals from the garden and nursery are used.
- The Gärtner-Spirits line emphasizes the use of self-grown botanicals in the products (gin and whisky), and there are products such as Hopfen Gin and Hopfen Whisky, where the spirits are produced with ingredients from the garden and their own hop varieties.
- In addition to beer and spirits, products are highlighted in the form of their own Gärtner-Limo syrups and tonic essences, which use natural ingredients without artificial additives, and which are compatible with gin and other drinks.

- Beer and classic varieties include products such as Hopfengold, Hopfenzupfer, Tomaten Joe, Chillilero, Koala, Himbo, Miraculix, Zitronic, Minz Mann, Rauschkönig and other specialty beers, types of lager and amber as well as special names and flavor variations (some are dry-hopped, others with special ingredients such as hops, herbs, fruits and spices).
- Gärtner-Spirits includes spirits and gin based on own botanicals from the garden. There are Hopfen Gin, various gin boxes (e.g. Gin Box 'Würzig' and others), as well as different versions of Hopfen Whisky marketed as products in the shop. There is also 'Gin Erlebnis' and 'Gin Tasting' as social and tasting experiences, where you make your own bottle of gin and learn about botanicals and mixology.
- There are also a number of bundles and thematic sets for tastings (Klassisch, Kräuter, Fruchtig, Würzig), as well as multiple products under categories such as Hopfengarten and Gärtner-Küche and various flavor variants of Hopfendarle and Dolder.

- A range of experiential courses and tastings: Braukurs, Hopfen- und Bier Seminar, 'Gin Erlebnis' Tasting and 'Bier Erlebnis' Tasting, often with included guided tours in Hopfengarten and in the small brewery. There is also a 'Hopfengarten Führung mit Bierverkostung' gift card, and the possibility for individual group bookings, indicating an active provider of tours and interactive experiences.
- There is also a Tap House in Bamberg city center, where beer and spirits from Hopfengarten as well as house-made lemonades and drinks are served – with focus on local and seasonal products. The venue is described as the city's oasis, and the site also markets the possibility to rent Hopfenhaus as an event location for private events.
- For visitors it is indicated that there is a physical shop space in the brewery (Ladengeschäft), where customers can buy products and have expert advice, and there are opening hours for the shop.
