History
Fischer Spirits builds on the story surrounding Friedrich Fischer, a chemist and distiller who worked at the liqueur factory D. Weiss & Co. in Vienna's 10th district. When he married Betty Pomberger in 1902, he moved to Wilhelmsdorf and began working in Pomberger’s general business, which had been founded in 1875 in the house at Wilhelmstraße 17. When Betty entered marriage, she was introduced to Viennese society at a grand party, where the opening speech was delivered by Friedrich Fischer. Fischer Spirits thus rests on a connection between the Fischer family and the Pomberger family; Friedrich Fischer is regarded as the founder, and the story also mentions Glasfelle and kinship relations involving Franz and Barbara Pomberger. The Christmas bird / “Vom größten Himbeersaft-Hersteller der Monarchie zu Fischer Spirits” illustrates the shift from the past to Fischer Spirits' continued production of spirits.
