History

Brennerei Feller is built on a long tradition in the German distilling culture. Yet its roots go back further than 1820, when the family reportedly owned a distillery. Brennerei Feller in Regglisweiler was founded in 1903 by August Feller, and today the distillery is run by Roland Feller in the fifth generation. The company celebrates its long history with a focus on craftsmanship, culture, and a strong connection to local character and tradition.

Production and Raw Materials

Feller emphasizes the best raw materials and its own Streuobstwiesen (own fruit trees/orchard fruit). Brandy and liqueurs are produced with attention to quality, and the distillation takes place six times, where only the heart of the distillate is drawn off. The production process is powered by regenerative bioenergy from regional biogas. Safety and quality are supported by slow aging and special methods that enhance flavor and fruity aromas.

Whisky Series

The distillery produces Single Malt and Single Grain Whisky. These whiskies are described as mild to powerful, with the flavor shaped by the ingredients and the slow maturation in wooden barrels. During aging, Bourbon and Port wine casks are used, and the distillation is performed six times to achieve full flavor nuances. Among the well-known accolades are Valerie Madeira Cask (Single Malt) and Single Malt Torf (Peat), both of which have received notable accolades.

Visits and Experiences

Schaubrennen as an event provides the opportunity to experience the distillation process live. There are also guided tours and tastings in the shop, where guests can gain insight into production, aging, and the range.

Philosophy and Sustainability

Brennerei Feller highlights sustainability and community involvement as central principles. The production and the entire facility are powered by regenerative biogas from a regional biogas plant. In addition, there is a focus on biodiversity through their own Streuobstwiesen and installation of bird houses (bird hotels, adapted to urban development and forests). Initiatives such as support for Uganda school meals and sponsored bird houses demonstrate the company's social commitment.
