History
Background
Bad Kötztinger Bärwurz-Quelle is supplied by the Anleitner family and runs Anleitner Erlebnisbrennerei in the Bayerischer Wald. The Anleitner family describes themselves as hosts and the driving force behind the experiential distillery's approach to guests. Their public communications present a family-run business where Christina and Johannes Anleitner are at the helm and where the entire A-team contributes to the guest experience.
Expansion and Opening
On the site pages, the opening of the newly built Anleitner Erlebnisbrennerei in Bad Kötzting is described, along with the concept of giving visitors access to the Domhallerne behind the stills through special tours and tastings. Johannes Anleitner is described as Edelbrandsommelier, guiding guests through the backstage and sharing distilling knowledge and secrets. Emphasis is placed on planned events and the need for advance booking.
Tradition and Family Ownership
Throughout the communications materials, the family's commitment, the connection to the region (Bayerischer Wald), and a culture based on hospitality, quality and authenticity are highlighted. The text emphasizes that the experiences and products are an expression of a long-term approach to craft and regional identity.

Visits / Experiences
Tours and Tastings
Visitors can book exclusive guided tours and tasting moments led by Edelbrandsommelier Johannes Anleitner. The tours go behind the scenes and include areas such as the distillery, filling, barrel storage and tasting, with a focus on sharing secrets from the distillery's back rooms. Duration and planning vary, but a typical Tasting-Tour lasts about 2 to 3 hours and includes a tasting of national and international spirits in relation to the theme (edelbrand, World of Spirits, liqueur, gin, etc.). The number of participants is a maximum of 16 people, and merchandise is also offered as part of the experience. There are cancellation criteria and the possibility to change the theme with full booking (16 tickets).
Tastings and Themes
In addition to Edelbrand there may be other tastings such as World of Spirits (gin, liqueur, whisky, rum and other Edelbrände), Fassgereift (anything aged in its own wood). Each tour has specified stations and includes both distiller's guidance, barrel storage and company information, as well as water and food pairings. Animals are not allowed on tours.
