Historie

Aroma-Brennerei Beck-Treuheit is located in Oberndorf at the foot of Burg Hoheneck. The family has carried on the craft of distillation for generations and has more than 50 years of distilling experience. In 1974, father Hans Beck-Treuheit bought a distillery and began producing distillates such as burnt fruits and liqueurs. Since 1993, Herbert and Erika Beck-Treuheit have continued the tradition and developed the business with a focus on quality and nature's aroma. In 2009 they modernized Brennraum and replaced the distillation equipment with a new, modern unit patented „aRoMat“. The distillery is located in Oberndorf, a small community at the foot of Burg Hoheneck, and they place emphasis on using fully ripe, aromatic fruits – primarily from the local region – and avoid artificial aromas. Their philosophy is to highlight nature's scent and aroma in its purest form.

Produktion / Fremstilling

The distillation plant consists of copper stills and equipment with „aRoMat“ technology. They describe the process as gentle and respectful of the fruit, where the entire yield from fully ripened fruit is utilized. They use only the best, fully ripe and aromatically intensive fruits and reject artificial aromas. The brands and spirits are divided into clear categories: Brænd, Geiste and Likører. They emphasize that they use regional raw materials, and that their Edelbrandsommeliers guarantee high quality. The portfolio also includes various Brände, Geiste and Liköre, aged in different wooden casks such as oak, mulberry and chestnut to add color and character.

Produkter / Whisky-serien

Ayscher Whisky is a single malt whisky project started in 2017. The first edition ('Nr. I') was presented as a Single Cask, a limited release in two different wooden casks. Since then, each year a new 'Ayscher Whisky' has been released in limited, numbered small editions. The series is known for flavor variation, as it experiments with different cask types, wood varieties, and preparations of the barrels. Current editions include Nr. VI and Nr. VII, both 4-year-old and at 44.5% ABV, in 0.5 liter bottles at €53.00 (Nr. VI and Nr. VII). There is also mention of Nr. I as 3-year-old initially, and later editions described as 5-year-old with notes on cask sizes and finishing. In addition to whisky, there are also a number of gin variants and other fruit-distilled products. There have also been Gold and Silver medals won in 2020 for some products (including Ayscher Whisky Nr. 3 and Ayscher Gin).

For private events, they also offer individual tastings and distillation samples by appointment.

Filosofi

„Liebe zum Destillieren“ and „Leidenschaft für Neues“ are characteristic slogans. Their goal is to express aromatic diversity from nature and to highlight the typical scent and aroma of each fruit in its pure form. They emphasize authenticity by using fully ripe raw materials, without artificial aromas, and that distillation should preserve the fruits' character. Their approach is described as giving the senses a holistic experience through craft, tradition, and curiosity.
