History
Buffalo Trace Distillery has roots in more than 200 years of bourbon production in Kentucky. The distillery is the world's oldest continually operating bourbon distillery and was allowed to keep production "for medical purposes" during Prohibition. Located in Franklin County, Kentucky, the distillery's property covers about 130 acres and houses four centuries of architecture — all still fully operational.
Production / Manufacture
Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is distilled, aged and bottled at the most award-winning distillery in the world. It is produced from corn, wheat and malted barley, and matures in new oak barrels for years in cellars that are considered to be a hundred years old, until it reaches maturity. The flavor is described as rich and complex with notes of vanilla, toffee and candied fruit, and the smooth finish lingers.
