History

Minglewood Distilling Company grew out of a deep passion for distilling and a desire to preserve the historic Minglewood Coal & Ice Co. building. The building was established in the 1880s as Minglewood Coal & Ice Co. by James Mullins and served the local community for nearly a century. Today the heritage continues, as a father-and-son duo saw the potential and turned the building into the home of Minglewood Distilling Company. We produce today a range of spirits that honor the region's unique history and craftsmanship of distillation, and we emphasize using locally sourced ingredients from Wayne County to capture the community in every bottle.

Production and Distillation

Minglewood produces spirits with a blend of timeless techniques and modern innovation. From our signature rye whiskey to our diverse range of craft spirits, the production embodies the heart and soul of Minglewood. The building serves as a distillery and tasting room in Wooster, and we use a unique distillation column for producing vodka and gin. Our spirits are aged in three tiers of charming oak barrels, and we emphasize using locally grown corn from Wayne County. We also offer Bottled-in-Bond varieties, bottled at exactly 100 proof, with details on cask and aging.
