History

Maverick Distilling is a San Antonio-based craft distillery located just steps from the Alamo and sits on the original family homestead. The distillery was founded by Kenneth Maverick and builds on Texas traditions and the enduring legacy of Sam Maverick, the namesake for all true Mavericks. "Home of the original Maverick" and "Unbranded since 1836" are key parts of the story. The building is a beautifully restored historic bank building, where history is visible in the stone walls and in every barrel in the cellar. All spirits are distilled on-site and exclusively Texas corn is used, which ties each glass to a proud and vibrant Texas tradition.
