History

Lux Row Distillers is part of Luxco and described as a distillery driven by tradition and innovation. In 2015, Luxco began building its own distillery in Kentucky to meet the growing demand for its whiskey brands. Kentucky was chosen due to the region's rich culture, resourceful grain, and limestone-filtered water. The distillery lies on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and has become a central site for Lux Row production and brands such as Rebel Bourbon, Ezra Brooks, David Nicholson, Daviess County, and Blood Oath.

Production / Manufacturing

The distillery covers over 42,000 square feet, nine geothermally heated warehouses, and two custom-made copper stills, each 43 feet tall, enabling an annual production of around 7 million gallons of spirits. Their production process follows typical bourbon steps: milling, cooking, fermentation, distillation, and aging in new, charred American white oak barrels at around 125 proof or lower. Mashbills=[[WHEATED]] stands for Wheat-Bourbon (68% corn, 20% wheat, 12% malt) and [[RYED]] stands for Rye-Bourbon (78% corn, 10% white rye, 12% malt). The distillery is described as part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail experience. Master Distiller John E. Rempe leads production and has been central to the development of many of Lux Row's signature releases.
