Historie

Kerrs Creek Distillery's history began almost 100 years ago in the Catskills, where grandfather and his son decided to distill bootleg alcohol to ship it to Brooklyn during Prohibition. During Prohibition they refined their craft, and the same care and pride that marked them then lives on at Kerrs Creek today. We are a distillery with a passion for distilling superior spirits from the finest ingredients available in New York state. We work with local farmers and utilize ingredients produced in NY state. Kerrs Creek Distillery is a family-owned farm distillery, run by Matthew and Jessica White, and Jessica's parents Bob and Loretta Beckmann.

Produktion / Fremstilling

A farm distillery in New York state is a distillery that operates on a farm, and the license requires that the ingredients come from NY state. Our apples and potatoes are grown in Delaware County on our own farm and at our neighboring farm, while corn and other grains are grown in the Finger Lakes region. For more than 25 years we have been a small, farm-driven house with poultry, pigs and rabbits, and yet we qualify as a farm distillery. Easy Speaker Bourbon Whiskey is made with locally grown and malted corn and is aged in small handcrafted oak barrels, the barrel materials of which are produced in New York State.

Easy Speaker Bourbon Whiskey – a bourbon: Proof 80, color Medium Amber. Nose: vanilla dominates with caramelized sugar and hints of chocolate. Taste: caramel, clove, hints of orange and chocolate; finish: smooth and warm all the way through. Ishka Triple Malt Whiskey – our triple malt whiskey; distilled from a blend of New York-grown malted corn, malted barley and malted rye; aged in 10-gallon oak barrels. Nose: honey, spice, vanilla, apricot and caramelized orange. Taste: warm vanilla with peppery spice and caramel as well as brown sugar. Finish: creamy, smooth chocolate with a slight bite.
