History

Heritage Distilling Co. was founded in 2011 by Justin and Jennifer Stiefel as well as American veterans, and has since grown into one of North America's most award-winning independent craft distilleries. According to the company, they are the most awarded craft distillery in North America for ten consecutive years. Heritage Distilling Holding Company, Inc. is listed on Nasdaq under the symbol IPST.

Production / Manufacturing

HDC produces a wide range of spirits, including whiskeys/whiskies, vodkas, gins, aquavit, and rum, and operates distilleries as well as tasting rooms in Washington and Oregon. Emphasis is placed on using local ingredients whenever possible, and the company offers spirit tastings, education, and membership experiences through their various programs and tasting rooms.

Visits / Experiences

There are five tasting rooms in the Pacific Northwest: HDC Waterfront in Gig Harbor, HDC Roslyn in Roslyn, HDC Tumwater in Tumwater, HDC Whiteaker in Eugene, and HDC 5th Street in Eugene. These rooms offer spirit tastings, cocktails and retail, as well as membership experiences such as Cask Club and Spirits Club. Heritage Distilling also collaborates through the Tribal Beverage Network (TBN) with tribes and casinos, including Angel of the Winds Casino Resort and other partnerships.

Philosophy / Vision

The brand carries the message Every Spirit has a Story and positions itself as Trusted. Local. Spirits. Emphasis is placed on storytelling and craftsmanship. Since 2025, a vision around the global IP economy and an IP treasury strategy is also described, where Heritage works to register and monetize intellectual property via Story Network and related initiatives.
