Historie
In 1920, alcohol was banned in New York City. In 2021, it was deemed essential. Manhattan’s first whiskey distillery since Prohibition is located in NoHo at 686 Broadway. The spirit of New York drives everything, and our approach to whiskey blends past and present with the city’s culture as a compass.
Produktion
The corn comes from the Black Dirt region in Warwick Valley, NY, where the air, climate, and rich soil give a distinct flavor profile. These notes are clearly expressed when our whiskeys are distilled in our house at 686 Broadway and showcased in cocktail classes, whiskey tastings, and food-pairing courses. Corn, barley, and rye are milled and mixed with Catskill Mountain water to create a distinctive New York spirit. The whiskey is aged in American oak barrels.
