History

• Garden State Distillery was founded in 2019 in New Jersey by a team with experience in bar and hospitality. We focus on purity and authenticity in our spirits and build relationships with local farmers by getting to know who they are and how they grow.
• We collaborate with farmers, distillers and bartenders to produce the finest spirits and have a Core Team consisting of founder Rick Norman, Managing Partner Daniel Strack and Marketing Lead Mike Simon.
• Since 2019 we have been driven by a passion for crafting artisanal spirits and strive to bring Jersey character and a sense of closeness to our products.

Production / Manufacturing

• We believe that where things come from matters and we control the production from grain to glass to deliver a quality product distilled in New Jersey.
• We use only the finest ingredients, the finest filtered water and hand-selected yeast strains, and work closely with local farmers to secure the raw materials.
• Our range includes Bricktucky Bourbon and Weathervane Whiskey, where Bricktucky is a bourbon and Weathervane is an American whiskey produced from 100% New Jersey grain, with different mash bills and aging periods.

Products / Whisky Series

• Bricktucky Bourbon Whiskey: 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley; deep amber color; aroma and flavor with warm notes of cinnamon and cherry; aged about 4 years; 42.5% alcohol (85 proof).
• Weathervane Whiskey: American whiskey made from the ground up with 100% New Jersey grain; several batches with different mash bills and aging from about 18 to 26 months; batch example includes mash bills such as 75% corn with variations of wheat and rye; in some batches aged in brand new #3 charred barrel from Kelvin Cooperage.
• Other products: Norman's Shuck Vodka, Sissy's Hot Vodka, Norman's Farm Vodka and the cocktail series Proper Cock with Old Fashion, Espressotini, Limoncello and Peach Cosmo.

Visits / Experiences

• We offer personalized barrels and a variety of products such as Our Personalized Barrels and the Age Your Own Gift program where engraving and filling takes place and the process typically takes around two weeks.
• Our physical address in Toms River is 13 Washington Street, NJ. We encourage private tasting events and offer a store locator to find retailers.
• We also offer private events and collaborations around cocktails and recipes.
