History

Founding Fathers Distillery is located at Old Parsons Farm (est. 1764), a notable rallying site in the American Revolution along the Deep River near Point of Victory and the Birth of a Nation. In honor of our heritage, we revive the spirit of 1776 with us and raise a glass to freedom with The American Spirit. We are a small craft distillery located in High Point, NC. Old Parsons Farm is central to our history, and the site houses artifacts from the War. Jeff and Marta share a passion for history and for realizing the dream of Cooper’s Cut.

Production

Our process redefines whiskey. Owner Jeff seeks to create a new way to distill and push the rules aside. We produce single barrel, small-batch runs and use only the finest ingredients and yeast, tailored to our processes. Barley is high-quality American-grown grain. Yeast is a selected strain to balance ester concentrations and impart floral and fruity aromas. The water comes from a deep artesian aquifer with a storied American history and provides cold, clear water. The wood shapes the entire process; we primarily use new American white oak with secondary exposure to French oak, roasted and toasted to achieve a broad and complex 3D flavor profile. All of our spirits are designed and created, fermented and distilled, aged and bottled under one roof with care, craftsmanship, and quality. Age statements are not decisive for us; great whiskey begins on day one. The interaction between the distiller, the spirit, and the oak expresses itself in every bottle.

Philosophy

Quality over quantity is our motto. We don’t believe aging statements necessarily make the whiskey better and thus reject bias. Great whiskey begins on day one. The interaction between the distiller, the spirit, and the oak expresses itself in every bottle. We love dancing with the spirit and letting the wood express its meaning in the flavor.
