History
Fort Collins' first craft distillery opened Feisty Spirits Distillery in 2013. David Monahan and Jamie Gulden decided to open Fort Collins' very first craft distillery, and since then Feisty Spirits Distillery has become one of the city's most popular spots.
David Monahan and Jamie Gulden wanted in 2008 to dive into the exploding craft movement, but they knew it would require something different and unique. Four years later they opened Feisty Spirits Distillery, which was the first craft distillery in Fort Collins and helped pave the way and inspire other distilleries in the city.
Production/Manufacturing
Feisty Spirits Distillery's primary focus is the production of small-batch American whiskeys, but they do not limit themselves to just one type. They produce handmade Bourbons, Rye, and Malts. There is an emphasis on using non-traditional and natural ingredients such as triticale, millet, spelt, and kamut – all to emphasize their rebellious and feisty persona. The atmosphere consists of a team of extremely creative artisans who share a passion for craft distilling and small-batches.
