History
Doc Porter’s was founded in 2014 by Andrew and Liz Porter with a mission to create exceptional grain-to-glass spirits using locally grown grains. The distillery is named after Andrew Porter’s grandfather, Dr. Richard Porter, and originated in Charlotte's LoSo district. It operated until 2020, when the property was bought by a developer and COVID-19 contributed to the closure. Before the closure, the team distilled their last batches of bourbon, rye and malt whiskey in late 2020; after five years of patience and craft, the barrels had reached perfection, and The Last Call-batches are here.
Production/Manufacturing
Doc Porter’s has a core idea to produce exceptional grain-to-glass spirits using locally sourced grains. The last batches, distilled in 2020, included bourbon, rye and malt whiskey, and these products represent the distillery’s craft and patience in aging over the years.
Products/ Whisky Series
The well-known whisky batches from Doc Porter’s include bourbon, rye and malt whiskey (The Last Call-batches), which were produced before the closure and later aged to reach their full potential.
