History

Westchester’s Hand-crafted Distillery Since our beginning, Current Spirits has been dedicated to using modern distillation and blending methods to create new and exciting canned cocktails, flavorful spirits as well as NY Vodka and Gin together with our Perpetual Whiskey Project and Local Well releases. We have fine-tuned our process toward clear spirits that do not require long aging to reach maturity and that can be used in a wide range of cocktails. In 2020 and 2024 we were named "Best Distillery" by Westchester Magazine.

Production/Manufacturing

Current Spirits uses contemporary methods for distillation and blending and emphasizes creating clear spirits that do not require longer aging to reach high maturity and that can be used in various cocktails. Vodka and Gin are distilled from 100% NY-grown grain, which supports local farmers and craftsmanship. Vodka Lemonades are produced using our 100% NY Vodka blended with natural flavors and simple syrup.

Perpetual Whiskey Project (PWP) represents the culmination of years of work to deliver whiskey of the highest quality, made from American malt and aged in a range of different oak casks, providing complex and pleasant characteristics. The whiskey is non-chill-filtered, free from artificial coloring, and always cascade-aged for depth of flavor. It is based on two-row malted barley and ages for at least 3 years in ex-bourbon, ex-rye, ex-sherry and other unique casks.

Local Well is produced from 100% NY-grown grain and is aimed at restaurants that want a NY product at a reasonable price.

Perpetual Whiskey Project offers various American single malt whiskey varieties and single malts based on aged ex-bourbon, ex-rye and ex-sherry casks. The products are presented as American Single Malt Whiskey and New York Single Malt Whiskey in our lineup.

New York Vodka and NY Gin are designed around 100% NY-grown ingredients and are emblematic of our focus on local farmers and craftsmanship.

Perpetual Whiskey Project (PWP)

PWP centers on high-quality distilled spirits and is aged in different casks to achieve a complex and balanced flavor. The underlying philosophy is non-chill-filtered, free from artificial coloring, and always cascade-aged for deeper flavor experiences. The products are built on American malt (two-row malted barley) and are aged in casks that give depth and character.

• 2024 Empire Blend – 91 Proof / 45.5% ABV Tasting Notes: Aromas of apple pie filling with a rich oak profile of dried cranberries and pecans; a finish with a light smoky, peat-like note. Packaging: 12x750ml

• 2023 Premier Blend – American Single Malt Whiskey – Sherry Cask Aged – 105 Proof / 52.5% ABV Tasting Notes: Floral aromas of vanilla and dried cherries followed by rich notes of brown butter and roasted hazelnuts; silky and oak-forward finish. Packaging: 12x375ml, 12x750ml
• Straight Rye Whiskey – 91 Proof / 45.5% ABV Tasting Notes: Spicy aroma with cardamom and nutmeg; classic rye-spice with notes of cinnamon, dried date-like sweetness, and earthy undertones. Packaging: 12x375ml
• Sherry Cask Aged – American Single Malt Whiskey Tasting Notes: Fragrance of resinous vanilla and dried cherries; buttery caramel and roasted hazelnuts on the palate; silky and oily in texture. Packaging: 12x375ml, 12x750ml

NY Vodka & Gin

New York Vodka – 80 Proof / 40% ABV Tasting Notes: Vodka distilled to over 190 proof to create a smooth and elegant base; after resting, the vodka is charcoal-filtered to round off edges.

New York Gin – 90 Proof / 45% ABV Tasting Notes: Built around the same base as the vodka, our gin is redistilled with a proprietary blend of botanicals and spices, which yields a floral and unique drinking experience. The juniper note is restrained to let the other distinctive flavors come through in harmony.
