Historie

Claremont Distilled Spirits, Inc. is an award-winning distillery located in Hamburg, New Jersey, and has been crafting exceptional spirits since May 2014. Their mission is to prove that world-class spirits can be produced in the Garden State using locally sourced ingredients. Their premium vodka is made from New Jersey potatoes, and their flavored vodkas highlight the region's fruits such as blueberries and peaches. Claremont is described as the largest craft distillery in New Jersey and has received several awards for their products.

Produktion / Fremstilling

The distillery has a fermentation capacity of 4,000 gallons and a distillation capacity of 1,000 gallons. They operate with three stills: a 500-gallon pot still for bourbon and other whiskies, a 5-plate hybrid still, and a custom-built 30-foot column still for vodka, where the vodka from the column still is distilled up to about 23 times. Their approach is sustainability and a farm-to-glass philosophy that creates a close connection between agriculture and spirit production.

Produkter / Whisky-serien

Tracks & Rails Wheated Bourbon: a 90-proof bourbon with a mash bill of corn, wheat, and malted barley. Aged in American oak barrels for 4 years. Flavor notes include caramel, vanilla, and roasted oak notes; described as smooth and round and suitable for neat, on the rocks, or cocktails.

Tracks & Rails Flying Fish Bourbon: limited release and distilled from the wort of Flying Fish Brewing Company’s Abbey Dubbel ale, described as a 102-proof straight whiskey. Aroma of cherry and fig with a finish that hints of chocolate and molasses; an attempt to blend brewing and distilling artistry into a unique bourbon/whiskey experience.

In addition, Claremont also produces the vodka line (Claremont Vodka, Claremont Blueberry Vodka, and Claremont Peach Vodka), which emphasizes the use of New Jersey ingredients in the company’s overall portfolio.
