History

Bulleit, founded in 1987, is one of the fastest-growing whiskey brands in America. The brand attributes its growth to bartenders and cultural partners who have embraced it. The Bulleit Frontier Whiskey portfolio is distilled and aged according to the family tradition using a distinctive high-rye recipe, which yields a bold, spicy, yet smooth flavor. The award-winning Kentucky whiskey most recently won Double Gold for Bulleit 10 Year Old as well as Gold medals for Bulleit Bourbon and Bulleit Rye at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. In 2017, a new, modern distillery opened in Shelbyville, KY, with a focus on sustainable practices such as natural habitat protection, water conservation, and local ingredient utilization. In 2019, a Visitor's Centre opened at Bulleit Distilling Co. in Shelbyville to share our modern, technological, and sustainable approach to whiskey-making.
