Historie

Brickway Brewery & Distillerys history begins with the realization that beer and spirits can bring people together – in both joy and adversity. The company combines roots in microbiology, chemistry, and a master's degree in brewing and distilling with a desire to create something meaningful in Omaha's Old Market district. The opening took place on December 13, 2013 after bureaucratic hurdles and a temporary shutdown. Originally they started with a few basic beers such as Pilsner, Hefeweizen, India Pale Lager, and Oatmeal Stout, and almost ten years later they produce numerous beers and 13 distinct spirits. Brickway distills with specially designed copper pot stills, focusing on purity, flavor, and balance. Beer is canned in aluminum cans for quality and sustainability. The company highlights authenticity, integrity, and versatility in their products and community engagement – they have donated over $100,000 in beer and spirits to local charitable causes and produced 10,000 gallons of hand sanitizer during the COVID-19 pandemic for hospitals and first aid teams. They also support global initiatives such as Global Partners in Hope to provide access to clean water and medical help in Africa. From sherry-cask-distilled single malt whiskey to award-winning pilsners, every product reflects who Brickway is and what they stand for. All whiskey is produced in Omaha at their Old Market location.
