History

American Fifth Spirits began as a dream to create a place where people could celebrate, discover, and relax. In 2015 they opened their Tasting Room and Distillery and since then have focused on handcrafted, high-quality spirits. They are proud to use local ingredients and to produce innovative spirits of remarkable quality.

Production / Manufacturing

Each part of the process is marked by local craftsmanship. Handcrafted with the highest quality resources we can source regionally and a dedication to local ingredients. Bourbon Whiskey is produced as a Small Batch; the mash bill is 63% corn, 20% wheat, 12% malt and 5% rye, and it is aged in 30-gallon casks. Aromas: brown sugar, cloves and maple; flavors: vanilla, marzipan, caramel, raisins and figs. Signature Malt Whiskey is another line in the series; made from 80% light Munich malt and 20% honey malt and rests in 15-gallon casks. Aromas: roasted grains, maple and honey; flavors: roasted, mocha, toffee and cinnamon.

Visit / Experiences

Their physical location is in Lansing, Michigan. The Tasting Room is located at 112 N Larch St, Lansing, MI 48912. Opening hours are Wednesday to Thursday 4 pm to 10 pm, Friday 4 pm to 11 pm and Saturday 4 pm to 11 pm. One can taste spirits, get handcrafted cocktails, buy bottles and enjoy snacks.
