History

Albany Distilling Company is a craft distillery located in central Albany, NY. Using both modern and traditional methods, we create award-winning products one small batch at a time. We started in 2011 as Albany's first distillery since Prohibition. At our core, the goal is to produce high-quality spirits with an uncompromising approach to craft and technique. We are incredibly fortunate to have support from our customers and the local community, which makes it possible to maintain our commitment and has opened many opportunities for collaboration and partnerships with other businesses and organizations of all kinds.

Production

Mashing, fermenting, distilling, aging, and bottling take place at Albany Distilling Company. We use grain grown in New York State and age in freshly charred oak barrels. There are no colorants or flavorings added—only pure barrel-aged whiskey. The Original Series includes Straight Bourbon, Empire Rye, and Straight Malt, and the Limited Editions include Rum Bourbon, Cab Barrel Rye, Double Oak Rye, and Solera Rye. All mashing, fermenting, distilling, aging and bottling are performed by Albany Distilling Company. We use grain from New York State, and aging occurs in freshly charred oak barrels.
