History
- 2015: Matt and Jaime Lamping sign a lease on the near East side of downtown Indy, buy equipment and start filling barrels with bourbon. They launch gin and rum on the market by getting their products on shelves in various Indy bars, restaurants and liquor stores.
- 2018: Open Bottle Shop & Cocktail Bar. Here you can enjoy cocktails, mocktails, bottles and cans to go. The menu is rotated seasonally and they host ongoing popups in partnership with local businesses. Each quarter new artists' creations are presented in the space, which is also described as a "hip living room" atmosphere.
- The goal has always been to make locally sourced, handcrafted spirits and experiences around them, to inspire others to live without regrets. Together with the team they want to build a community around the products and experiences.
- Location and opening hours as well as contact information are part of their available information.
Production / Manufacturing
- The production is based on a local, handcrafted approach with a focus on creating locally produced spirits and cocktails and building a community around these products.
- Distillation and aging: Bourbon consists of a triple distillation over 36 months and is air-aged in a 53-gallon oak stave with a #4 char. It is double-distilled and aged in this form.
- Rye Whiskey: Produced as a whiskey with at least 36 months aging, double-distilled and aged in a 53-gallon oak barrel with a #5 char. Mash bill is 58% rye and 42% corn.
- Corn Whiskey: Mash, fermented and pot-distilled 100% of Indiana corn (100 proof).
- Classic Rum: 90 proof, artisanal, small-batch, distilled from molasses and sugarcane from a 7th-generation family plantation in Louisiana.
- Gin: New American Gin (90 proof) with pronounced juniper notes, fresh citrus from grapefruit and lemon as well as a hint of ginger. Navy Strength gin (115 proof) is a bolder, genever-style gin with balanced botanicals and a bold oak finish.
- Absinthe: Chat Maison Absinthe (133 proof) consisting of anise, fennel and wormwood, with notes of chamomile and ginger root.
- Other products: RTD (ready-to-drink) in cans include Gin & Tonic RTD (7.25% ABV), Java Mule (co-collaboration with Tinker Coffee Co.; seasonal), The Earl RTD (6.75%), Flaminglow RTD (7.15%; seasonal) and non-alcoholic variants such as Flaminglow NA and The Earl NA RTD. Nutrition information and ingredients are listed for the NA and RTD variants.
