Historie

2BAR Spirits is an homage to Nathan Kaiser's family ranch in South Texas, where the name 2BAR symbolizes quality, independence, and hard work. Nathan Kaiser founded 2BAR Spirits in Seattle in 2010 and draws inspiration from the ranch’s history. The company supports an all-female production team, embraces diversity and innovation, and aims to create a whiskey that inspires people to gather and share. Unique selling points include Northwest grain-to-glass distillery, that it is the first distillery in Seattle to produce Bourbon, and that Bourbon is widely available in stores at an affordable price. The key people are: Madeline Kelly (Head Distiller), Nathan Kaiser (Founder) and Sonie Watson (Distiller).

Produktion

Fra lokalt korn munder, maltet, mæsks, gærer, ældes og tappes on-site. Hele produktionen holdes in-house for at sikre kvalitet, konsistens og tilgængelighed. Ønsket er 100% grain-to-glass med en 6 grain mash bill. Produktionen fremstår som Northwest grain-to-glass destilleri.

Bourbon og smag

Straight Bourbon Whiskey – 80 proof, aged at least 3+ years in new charred oak barrels, with notes of butterscotch, vanilla, cherry, and chocolate with a long honey finish. This is the company's most popular and everyday whiskey. Bottled in Bond – 100 proof, aged at least 4+ years in new charred oak barrels, with notes of butterscotch and vanilla, as well as a long chocolate and oak finish. Wine Barrel Finished Straight Bourbon Whiskey – 90 proof, aged 3+ years in new charred oak barrels and finished in wine barrels to add depth and complexity from the wine’s tannins. Amaretto Barrel Finished Straight Bourbon Whiskey – 90 proof, aged at least 3+ years in new charred oak barrels and finished in amaretto barrels to impart sweetness and nutty nuances to the bourbon.

You can visit the distillery and tasting room. Opening hours: Wednesdays and Thursdays 11:00–14:00, Fridays 12:00–18:00. Plan a visit by emailing info@2barspirits.com. Monthly happy hours take place on the 4th Friday with bourbon tastings and a monthly cocktail for USD 6.
