History
18th Street Distillery is the first award-winning craft distillery to open since Prohibition in Hammond, Northwest Indiana. Owner Drew Fox, who also runs 18th Street Brewery, describes their start in brewing and an experimental approach to product development. With the success of 18th Street Brewery and extensive production experience, Fox knew he had the foundation to expand into distilling. He attended Moonshine University in Louisville, Kentucky to refine his skill set and discover what it would take to grow his business in that direction. During the 6-Day Distiller Course he gained contacts, knowledge, and skills that saved him time, money, and mistakes.
