History

Westland Distillery was founded in 2011 in Seattle as part of a vision to create American Single Malt that reflects Pacific Northwest terroir. After more than a decade, Westland stands as one of America's leading single malt producers and works with terroir, sustainability, and craftsmanship.

Production and Manufacturing

The distillery is located in the SoDo district of Seattle and matures spirits in Washington State's Skagit Valley. The house malt base consists of Westland Signature Five Malt + Washington Pale Malts and matures in new American Oak. Many expressions use finishes in different casks, including Garry Oak (Garryana), Wine Cask Finish and Beer Cask Finish, as well as other combinations of finishes. The Garryana editions focus on the use of local Garry Oak and secondary finishes such as Pedro Ximenez hogshead, rum and ex-bourbon. Garryana 10 is aged 10 years and ABV 50%.
