Historie

Timekeeper Distillery is located in Wausau, Wisconsin, in the iconic Milwaukee Road Train Depot—a building dating from 1901. Founded by Dan Weber and Kimm VanDen Heuvel, who at 27 began considering a way to earn more and speculated in moonshine. After analyzing the market and talking with local officials, they took an entrepreneurship course at UW Stevens Point to sharpen the business plan. On October 6, 2017 they bought the historic train station and began transforming the site; just 22 days later the couple married, and in the first week of their marriage the depot interior was demolished with the goal of recreating the original 1901 expression for all to enjoy.

The depot's history and architecture are described as part of Timekeeper's identity: Milwaukee Road Train Depot was designed by Charles Sumner Frost and was active as a train station until the 1970s. Subsequently, the site belonged to Wausau Insurance’s marketing, and it became known through television shows and sports broadcasts, until Timekeeper made the site their distillery and experiential destination.

Produktion og Fremstilling

Timekeeper distills and sells a range of handcrafted spirits in small, high-quality batches. The text emphasizes that each spirit is uniquely designed and produced in small batches for quality. The range includes Bourbon Whiskey and Rye Whiskey as well as Notch 8, gin, vodka and Time Stopper – a zero-proof cannabis-spirit. In addition to pure spirits they produce Bar Cart Canned Cocktails: Bee’s Knees (gin, lemon, lavender and honey), Old Fashioned (bourbon, bitters and simple syrup), The Arnold (black tea, lemon and vodka) and The Rush (Timekeeper whiskey, fresh lemon, honey syrup and coloring). Wet Seltzers are offered in flavors Black Cherry, Blueberry Basil, Cucumber Lime, Pineapple and Watermelon Spearmint. All spirits are distilled and bottled at Timekeeper and sold in small batches as needed.
