Thunder Road Distillery opened in Kodak, Tennessee in 2014. In 2019 the brand was restructured and the company name changed from Thunder Road Distillery to Old Tennessee Distillery. The name "Old Tennessee" comes from East Tennessee's rich history. In 2014 the company was established by Old Tennessee Distilling Company.
