History

• Syntax Spirits was founded in 2010 in Colorado and was among the few distilleries in the state when they opened. They focus on authentic grain-to-glass craft spirits.
• Since then, all Syntax products have been produced in their handcrafted stills, and they have never used neutral grain spirits or mixed Syntax products with base spirits from other distilleries.
• They stand by a standard of high quality and produce everything locally in Colorado.
• They source the grain from farmers within 100 miles of the distillery, and the sugarcane molasses is sourced as locally as possible from Florida; they also work on sustainability through reduction, reuse and recycling.
• When you buy a bottle of Syntax Precision Spirits, you know it is handcrafted and unique and made in Colorado.

Production / Manufacturing

• All Syntax Precision Spirits are handcrafted from scratch. We do not take shortcuts or use alcohol produced elsewhere.
• We produce grain-to-glass and use local ingredients and Colorado whitewater.
• Crystal Vodka is produced without neutral grain spirits and undergoes carbon filtration to polish the flavor.
• We use handcrafted column stills and recycle water to minimize water use. Spent grain is given to local farmers.
• Vodka and other products are produced in small batches, and active waste and resource management is practiced. The distillery also has a cocktail bar and offers tours and cocktail- and distillation-classes led by the owner and distiller Heather Bean.

Products / Whisky Series

• Straight Bourbon Whisky: made from locally sourced corn, wheat and barley, aged in full-size 53-gallon barrels for at least two years. Over the years it has earned several medals and is noted by the Beverage Tasting Institute with detailed notes.
• Wellhead Whisky: the craft is based on locally sourced grains and Poudre River whitewater and aged in 53-gallon barrels.
• Crystal Vodka: 100% locally grown wheat, grain-to-glass, without NGS, produced in handcrafted column-still style and carbon-filtered for a clean character.
• Rose Gin: a floral gin with natural botanicals including a blend of juniper, rose petals, citrus and lavender, among others.
• Heavy Rum: made from 100% American dark cane molasses blended with Rocky Mountain whitewater, aged in whiskey barrels and offering vanilla- and caramel-inspired flavors.
• Powder White Rum: unaged version of Heavy Rum, has won several awards.
• Big Cat White Whisky: available at the distillery only.
• Smoky Single Malt Whisky: award-winning variant, available at the distillery only.

Visit / Experiences

• Distillery and cocktail bar in Greeley, Colorado, where you can sample the products and take a guided tour of the facility. Cocktail and distillation classes are also offered, led by the owner Heather Bean.
• There is a selection of standard and gift bottles as well as barware and Syntax clothing.
