History

Skip Rock Distillers was founded in 2009 by Snohomish natives Ryan and Julie Hembree. It started as a passion for local food and the love of a good drink. Located in Snohomish and quickly becoming a well-known brand in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Each bottle is handcrafted from start to finish, and they use local ingredients where possible. When ingredients must be sourced from other states, they buy directly from farmers and work hard to build strong, lasting relationships. At Skip Rock they strive to create unique, nuanced, and balanced spirits that delight the palate neat or in your favorite cocktail.

Production / Manufacturing

Production takes place in small batches with a field-to-bottle approach. Ingredients come directly from farmers, and efforts are made to build long-term relationships with family-owned farms to ensure quality. Handmade from the ground up and using locally sourced raw materials where possible are the cornerstones of the company's approach.

Products / Whisky Series

Skip Rock has a range of whiskeys and related spirits: - Skip Rock Bourbon: Bottled in Bond, produced from Washington state rye grain, triticale and malt, and aged near the Snohomish River. - Skip Rock Rye Whiskey: made from locally grown rye, triticale, and malted barley, and aged in new toasted and charred American oak barrels. - Skip Rock Rye Whiskey: Barrel Proof: drawn directly from the barrel without dilution; higher alcohol content and a more robust flavor profile. - Headwaters White Whiskey: unaged white whiskey with an apple- and pear-character; 40% alcohol and accolades. - Triticale Whiskey: a whiskey based on triticale (wheat-rye hybrid) with spicy notes and a hint of smoke in the background; 750 ml at 86 proof.

Note: Nocino Walnut Liqueur, Raspberry Liqueur and other liqueurs are not whiskey, but are part of the lineup.

• Rye Whiskey Barrel Proof: notes of rye grain, pistachio brittle, mango-papaya pie, baklava and dried fruits; a clean and complex rye experience.
