History
Orcas Island Distillery was launched in 2014 and is a small craft distillery located in Washington State's San Juan Islands. We are on a mission to revive delicious spirits whose flavor experiences have almost vanished from the American palate.
Production / Manufacturing
Farmers in Skagit Valley grow the organic grains that form the foundation for our Single Malt Whisky and Genever Gins. Barley is malted, fermented and distilled in very small batches in our pot stills. Our aged spirits begin in new American oak casks and finish in rye whiskey or cognac casks.
Products / Whisky Series
Apple Brandy is made from fruit hand-picked in the islands' heirloom orchards. These heirloom varieties provide a unique opportunity to create fruit brandy with a subtle flavor that cannot be replicated. We also produce Single Malt Whisky based on organic grains and Genever Gins.
Visit / Experiences
We are located on Orcas Island in Washington State. You will find us beside the Historical Museum in the village of Eastsound. We welcome contact by email and telephone. Visiting and opening hours: Monday–Thursday by appointment; Friday–Sunday 1:00–4:00 PM.
Philosophy
We strive to preserve and revive flavor experiences that have nearly vanished from the American palate. Accolades for our products include awards from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the American Distilling Institute for Apple Brandy, Single Malt Whisky and Genever Gin, as well as other products.
